August 18 2004 Wednesday got off to a slow start, wind storms the night before had made a mess of the course markers and pits. It was a long way into the morning before the pits opened and we headed to staging.

After Teds run we had time to prep 1149 for another run and move it to pre-stage. Late in the afternoon though it began to rain at the starting area, while remaining sunny and warm 3 miles away in the pit. We pushed 1149 back to the pit for the night.

Brad Heintz was piloting N49 back to the pit and earned a salty shower for his trouble.
