November, 2001

Don Siewert on a visit to Allan Rod & Custom during November 2001. Don was thrilled to see the progress Ted Allan had made in transforming the Roadster Pick-up from a "bush find" to a race truck.

Don climbed up onto Allan Rod & Custom's fame table to try on the truck and check out the frame and roll cage that was taking shape.

From the rear, we can see how the chassis will kick up under the box of the truck.

The right side profile showing the frame kick up and driver location. Note the driver "head cage" located as farr to the rear of the cab as possible. Roadster Pick-ups have the smallest cab of all Model A roadster bodies.

Don holds the radiator shell in place to help describe the size and shape of the vehicle.

It takes imagination to see the truck at this point, but the crew was inspired none the less. The truck box can be seen in the foreground.
