"North of 49" Construction

small logo

December 21, 2001

A Christmas visit to Allan Rod & Custom during December 2001 finds the project further along and the resemblance to a Model A Roadster Pickup enhanced by the installation of door skins and the box.

Left side, cage almost complete.

Cowl mount and foot well. Notice also ho the rear portion of the roll cage has been built outside the cab of the truck in order to maximize room for the driver.

A 427 Engine block mounted to a roughed out engine plate sits between the frame rails in this mock-up.

Box channeling; Rules state the box must be mounted in "stock" position with respect to the cab. Stock panels, correct for the body year used, including hood side panels, front and rear fenders, running boards, grille shell, etc., shall be mounted in their original relationship to each other.
